Minimum wage in Turkey

A statutory national minimum wage

Turkey has a single national minimum wage, set each year by a tripartite Minimum Wage Determination Commission. It applies to all workers across the country.

Headline figure (second half of 2026)

33,030 TRY per month

Eurostat's gross, full-time monthly figure; 13th and 14th-month payments are spread over twelve months.

Roughly US$670 a month for a full-time worker, at exchange rates of 2026-10-09. This is a rough comparison only and does not show buying power.

Check the date. Minimum wages change, in many countries every year. The figure above is the one in force at the date shown. Confirm the current amount with the official source below before you rely on it. This is general information, not legal or employment advice.

Who sets it

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, with representatives of employers, unions and the Government, sets it.

How it changes

It is set each year and normally takes effect on 1 January. The Government has raised it again part-way through a year when inflation was high.

Who is covered, and who is treated differently

  • The same minimum applies across the country, with no regional or sector rates.

What to watch for

  • The monthly figure shown is the gross amount; take-home pay is lower after deductions.

Understand the legal system first

Turkey belongs to the Civil law family. How pay is regulated depends on how the legal system makes and applies labour law.
