Minimum wage in Cyprus
Cyprus introduced a statutory national minimum wage in 2023. Before then it had only minimums for particular occupations.
Headline figure (second half of 2026)
1,088 EUR per month
Eurostat's gross, full-time monthly figure; 13th and 14th-month payments are spread over twelve months.
Roughly US$1,219 a month for a full-time worker, at exchange rates of 2026-10-09. This is a rough comparison only and does not show buying power.

Who sets it
The Government sets it by decree after taking advice and consulting the social partners.
How it changes
The rate is reviewed periodically by the Government.
Who is covered, and who is treated differently
- It applies to employees across the economy.
- Before 2023 Cyprus had minimum wages only for certain occupations.
What to watch for
- It is a recent system, so check the current decree rather than older sources.
Understand the legal system first
Cyprus belongs to the Mixed: civil and common law family. How pay is regulated depends on how the legal system makes and applies labour law.
