About The Law To Know
Know the Law. Then Think Beyond It.
The Law To Know begins with a conviction: law is one of humanity’s oldest and most serious inventions, and you cannot think past it until you have learned it properly. So we start where the tradition starts, with the statutes, the cases and the great ideas of the legal mind, and we build everything on that ground. Then we go further.
Here a rule is not only something to memorize. It is a question to understand: why does it exist, what does it assume about people, where does it break, and what could take its place? We compare legal systems across the world, we cross the borders between disciplines, and we ask the questions that exams rarely ask. The aim is not only to know the law, but to think better because of it, and to leave the page with a wider horizon than the one you arrived with.
If you want the narrowest, most conventional route through a subject, there are other places that will serve you well. If you want to understand, to question and to see further, you are in the right place.
About Tsvety

Philosopher first, teacher always
I am a philosopher first and foremost. I am a thinker, and what I do is look for new ways of thinking: I take a problem apart, approach it from an angle others have not tried, and often arrive somewhere people did not expect. That is my strength, and it is what this whole site is built on.
I trained in law and in philosophy, and the two have never stopped talking to each other. Law gives philosophy its discipline; philosophy gives law its questions. I respect tradition and I build on it, but I do not stay inside it.
What my students say
“Tsvety is a fantastic tutor with incredible out-of-the-box thinking. She consistently finds innovative ways to analyze complex situations, bringing a perspective that is unique, strategic, and remarkably broad. Working with her completely elevated my problem-solving approach.”
“Tsvety is one of the most eloquent professionals I have ever met, with an extraordinary ability to articulate ideas with absolute clarity and conviction. By observing her communication style and modeling her approach, I was able to completely refine and perfect my own public speaking skills. Her mentorship is truly transformative.”
“As a project manager, client interactions and strategic communication are a daily routine for me. Studying with Tsvety helped me master my professional behavior, fine-tune my approach, and gain absolute clarity in my strategy. I now operate as a much more confident and effective professional.”
“With over thirty years of experience as a medical doctor, I have traveled and presented at international conferences worldwide, yet I always struggled with true public speaking confidence. Tsvety helped me elevate my presence to a level where I now feel entirely self-assured on stage. I genuinely look forward to lecturing and sharing my work globally.”
“Preparing for an intensive Master’s level exam in Sweden in a foreign language was one of my biggest academic challenges. Tsvety provided invaluable guidance that not only prepared me thoroughly but also gave me total certainty in my abilities. I am heading into my university program with immense self-confidence and readiness to excel.”
“I was handed a complex set of agreement documents that left me feeling overwhelmed. I reached out to Tsvety, and she helped me understand the legal language and see which points were worth questioning. It gave me real peace of mind.”
Teaching and design
For more than twenty years I have taught, online and in person, thousands of students and professionals from many fields: business leaders and managers, physicians, public officials, researchers and doctoral candidates, whom I have also guided through the writing of their theses.
I have created, and supervised the creation of, hundreds of learning programs and materials for institutions, companies and private schools, from a single printable worksheet to complete educational systems, choosing for each subject and each group of learners the approach that actually works.
For more than five years I have also worked hands-on with digital tools and platforms, testing them and making sure that what is published on them meets their rules. I work at the meeting point of law, technology and regulation, and I study how legal ideas adapt to new tools. I speak several languages, which helps me read legal thinking from the inside, in more than one tradition.
I am a legal educator and author, not a practicing attorney. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
Beyond the lecture hall
I love to travel, and I go all over the world: to study cultures, to speak the languages, to watch how different people solve the same human problems in different ways. I photograph what I see. I love art. I learn from all of it, and none of it is separate from the law, because law is what a culture decides to write down about how people should live together.
A free mind is not bound to a place. The questions on this site can be asked in Mumbai, Tokyo, Ulaanbaatar or Chicago, and that is exactly why they are worth asking.
Books
Beyond law, I write on philosophy, society, psychology and fiction. The books are available as e-books, and some as audiobooks.

How the content is made and checked
- Written in advance, then edited and reviewed. The lectures, questions, explanations and tools on this site are prepared with modern content-development methods, then edited and reviewed by Tsvety. Everything is written in advance: nothing is generated live while you study, so what you see today is what you will see tomorrow.
- Built from primary sources. We work from statutes, court decisions and official publications. Where a tool has not been checked line by line against the official text, its page says so.
- Stable doctrine, not headlines. We teach settled principles and avoid recent cases and changing figures that would go out of date. Laws change: always check the current official source before you rely on anything.
- Found a mistake? Please tell us at support@thelawtoknow.com. We check every report and correct what is wrong.
Credentials and editorial standards
- Education. Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Southwest University, completed in four years instead of the six-year curriculum, by permission of the university’s leadership, with the highest marks of her year; Master’s degree in Philosophy (cultural studies, philosophy major) from Sofia University.
- Experience. More than twenty years as an educator, author and instructional designer; thousands of students and professionals taught; hundreds of learning programs and materials designed for institutions, companies and schools.
- Publications. More than a dozen published books and dozens of specialized educational courses spanning law, human psychology, instructional design and legal technology.
- Structural and pedagogical precision. Legal principles are organized logically, from foundational statutory definitions and constitutional frameworks to procedural applications, case-law nuances and interactive court simulators.
- Academic integrity. Our research draws directly from primary statutory texts, established judicial precedents and peer-reviewed legal literature, without oversimplifying key doctrines.
- Continuous verification. We keep studying how traditional legal doctrines adapt to new technology, digital commerce, administrative change and modern regulation, and we update accordingly.
