Where are workers' rights to organise and bargain respected?
The International Labour Organization scores each country's compliance with two basic labour rights: the right of workers and employers to form and join organisations, and the right to bargain collectively. The score is built from the ILO's own supervisory texts and from national legislation. It runs from 0 (best compliance) to 10 (worst), and is the official indicator for the UN Sustainable Development Goal on labour rights (8.8.2).

- The score reflects both the law and how it is applied, as reported to the ILO's supervisory bodies and by trade unions and employers' organisations. A country that gives the ILO less information may seem better than it is.
- Lower is better, which is the opposite of most scores in this series: the ILO counts violations.
- Data: ILOSTAT, SDG indicator 8.8.2, for the latest year available for each country. Territories and a few states are not covered.
