Capstone
Capstone: Daniel Weiss and the Tuscan farmhouse studio
Daniel Weiss is an invented American architect who has moved to **Tuscany** to restore an old **farmhouse** and to open **Weiss Studio**, a small architecture practice. In one year, several things happen. He arrived as a **tourist** and has been **working for a client** for pay. He needs the **right company form**. He signs a **preliminary contract** to buy the farmhouse and pays a **deposit**. His **builder** stops work and demands more money. He **dismisses an assistant, Giulia**, with a day’s notice. And he has an Italian partner and a daughter, and **no will**. You advise Daniel using the course and its three tools. Assume that everything is in **Italy**, that Daniel is a **US citizen** and that the facts are as stated.
This course explains the law of Italy, not US law. Rules that look the same elsewhere may be different.

See what is included in the Courses & AI Lab Pass →General education on the law of Italy, using invented people and businesses. It states laws and procedures in simplified form and is not legal advice. The law and its practice change, and every case turns on its facts and on the authority concerned. It does not offer legal representation or a legal opinion on any case. Consult an Italian avvocato for any real matter.
