Settlement and Release Agreement
To settle a dispute for an agreed payment or action and release all claims on the matter.
Card payment through Stripe. Your files are ready straight after payment and are also sent by e-mail.

How to use it
- When: two parties have a disagreement or a claim (a debt, a damaged item, a defective job, a contract dispute, a neighbour conflict) and agree to end it by one paying or doing something, and both giving up further claims about it.
- Fill in everything in [square brackets] and delete the options you do not use. Describe the dispute and exactly what each side gives and receives.
- Think before you sign: a release usually covers every claim about the matter, including ones you do not know yet. Make sure the amount and terms are really enough.
- Form: write it down and have both parties sign, one copy for each. If a court case is open, a lawyer should tell the court (a withdrawal or a consent order).
- Not for: a divorce or child matters (use the dedicated agreements), claims you may not waive by law, or any agreement to hide a crime.

What these templates are not
- They are self-help templates, not legal advice, and they do not replace a lawyer.
- Laws differ from country to country, and some rules cannot be changed by contract. Each template ends with a checklist of what to check where you live.
- For a high-value or unusual situation, ask a local lawyer or notary to look at the final text.
