How to use it

  • When: a business (the Principal) wants a person or company (the Agent) to find customers and sell or arrange sales of its products or services, and pay a commission on the sales.
  • Fill in everything in [square brackets] and delete the options you do not use. Be exact about the territory, the products, the commission and when it is earned.
  • Form: write it down and have both parties sign, one copy for each.
  • Not for: an employee with a salary and a boss's direction, a reseller who buys goods and sells them in their own name (use a distribution agreement), or a one-time introduction fee.
