How to use it
- When: you sell or buy a movable item between private people or small businesses and want a simple, signed proof: furniture, electronics, equipment, a bicycle, a musical instrument, a collection, a boat or a trailer.
- Who signs: the seller and the buyer. Each keeps a signed copy.
- Fill in everything in [square brackets] and strike out the options that do not apply. Describe the item so that nobody can confuse it with another: make, model, serial or frame number, colour, condition.
- Check the seller really owns the item. Ask for proof of ownership, such as the receipt, the registration papers or the earlier bill of sale, and for ID.
- Write down the payment honestly: the price, the date, and how it was paid. A price that is not the real price can cause tax and other problems.
- Tip: take photographs of the item on the day of sale, note the condition in the document, and keep the papers together with the registration or transfer documents if there are any.
