Free to reuse, with a credit
The country-by-country data in our comparative law tools is free to copy, share and adapt, in print or online, in class or in a news story, including for commercial use, as long as you credit TheLawToKnow Tools and link back to the tool. That is the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.
What it covers
- The tables, maps and CSV downloads of the tools listed below, and the text of their country pages.
- It does not cover the rest of the site (articles, courses, templates, guide books and other products), which stays under our Terms of Service.
- Some of our data starts from public sources, such as EU portals and national statistics offices. Their own terms still apply to the original material.
How to credit us
Name the tool and link to its page, for example:

If you change the data, say so. Every CSV file we offer already has a credit column.
