Capstone
Capstone: Marta Lindqvist and the Lahore software company
Marta Lindqvist is an invented Swedish founder who has moved to Lahore to open Lindqvist Digital, a company that builds software for Pakistani and foreign clients. In one year, several things happen. She arrived on a business visa and has been running paid training sessions for a client. She needs the right company form, and plans to sell through a local reseller. She has paid a large cash deposit for an office floor on the strength of a revenue extract, an attested agreement and a receipt. She dismisses a systems administrator, Imran, with no notice, and a client’s cheque for an unpaid invoice bounces. And she has had a nikah with Bilal Raza, a Pakistani citizen, which has not been registered, and they have no wills. You advise Marta using the course and its four tools. Assume that everything is in Punjab, that Marta is a Swedish citizen, that Bilal is a Pakistani citizen and that the facts are as stated.
This course explains the law of Pakistan, not US law. Rules that look the same elsewhere may be different.

See what is included in the Courses & AI Lab Pass →General education on the law of Pakistan, using invented people and businesses. It states laws and procedures in simplified form and is not legal advice. The law and its practice change, and every case turns on its facts, the authority and the province concerned. It does not offer legal representation or a legal opinion on any case. Consult a Pakistani advocate for any real matter.
This course was written on 6 November 2026. To the best of our knowledge, it describes the law of Pakistan as it stood on that date. Laws change, and we may have missed or misunderstood something. If you notice a change, or have other information, please do not hesitate to contact us: we will review it and update the course. We do not claim to be the final source of the law.
