Contract Pipeline Lab
Ask a chatbot to read a contract and it will give you a fluent answer. It will not tell you which of its figures are invented, which dates it got wrong, or which quotes it made up. This lab is the software around the AI that does: a working contract pipeline you run in your browser.
Load a practice contract and watch it become structure, data, a list of faults and a calendar. Set an AI on the same job and see, field by field, where it is right and where it is confidently wrong. Then take it through the rest of the life of a contract: your playbook, an amendment, the letters, the question of which law applies, and a portfolio of everything you have saved. Everything checkable is checked by code, not by another AI.
Try the first contract free
The first practice contract runs through every stage with a recorded AI run, so you can see exactly what the pipeline does before you pay. The rest of the practice contracts, your own text, live runs with your own AI key and saved portfolios are part of the Legal AI Lab pass. A live run uses your own key with your own AI provider, kept in your browser, and costs you a few cents there.
Start with a practice contract
- The packaging supply agreementA three-year supply contract with automatic renewal. A leap year, a clause that contradicts itself, a reference to a clause that does not exist and a defined term that is never defined.Free
- The software licenceA one-year licence with no renewal and no assignment clause. Its end date is before its start date, its payment period appears twice with two answers, and its law and its courts do not match.Lab pass
- The office leaseA five-year lease with a month-by-month rent, a tenant's option to renew that is not automatic renewal, a payment period given as 'seven (10) days', a rent review that points to a clause that does not exist, and no confidentiality or courts clause at all.Lab pass
- The consultancy agreementA tidy eighteen-month services contract that renews every six months. Its quiet faults: a schedule that is not there, a defined term that is never defined, two payment periods, two currencies, and a monthly fee a model is tempted to turn into a yearly one.Lab pass
- The distribution arrangement (harder tier)Odd wording and unusual headings: 'Remuneration', 'Settlement', 'Exposure', 'Secrecy', 'Transfer of rights'. The rule-based extractor, which looks for the usual words, finds almost nothing, and the validator reports clauses as missing that are there in other words. This is where an AI earns its place, and where you must check it.Lab pass · Harder tier
- Your own contract textPaste text you are free to work with. It stays in your browser. Never use confidential client material.Lab pass
The first exercise in every tool is free, so you can try before you buy. Everything else is in the Lab pass.

- 1Intake. Splits a contract into clauses and finds its parties, defined terms and cross-references.
- 2Extract. The key fields, each with the exact source words and clause number for each, by code, in milliseconds.
- 3Validate. Finds what is wrong with the contract itself: words that disagree with figures, clauses that do not exist, terms never defined, dates that contradict, law and courts that do not match.
- 4Key dates. Works out the last day of the term (leap years included), the last day to stop a renewal and what happens if it is missed, and exports a calendar file.
- 5AI check. An AI does the same extraction. Code then looks for every quote it gave in the contract, flags invented values and fabricated quotes, scores it against an answer key and times it.
- 6Playbook. Your preferred, fallback and red-line positions as rules with numbers you can change, run against the contract, with a reason for every finding.
- 7Amend. Load a changed version. See every clause that changed, word by word, and what the change does to the dates, the money, the faults and your playbook.
- 8Letters. Notices, requests and reminders filled in from the record, with a fact-checker that flags any date, amount or period that is not in it, including after an AI has reworded the letter.
- 9Law. The questions that decide which law and which court apply, ordered by importance, built from what the contract says and what you tell it. It never claims to know the answer.
- 10Portfolio. Save contracts in your own browser, see all of them at once, spot the renewal windows that have closed, and export a spreadsheet or one calendar.
Skills training with fictional material, not legal advice. The pipeline finds mechanical faults and checks an AI’s output; deciding what a contract means stays with a lawyer.
